I begin my 60th year today. Friends, of course, say 60 is the new 40. In many ways I believe that's true. I feel good, I'm very active, and I have barely slowed down since I was 40. Since I left Madison, I felt younger than I was in the years prior to that: less weighted down with unhappiness, lethargy, and boredom with the Madison lifestyle. I have never been bored in Washington!!
Happy Birthday, dear Deborah. Life is good. Kerri graduates summa cum laude in two weeks; your granddaughter is six weeks old; you leave for Ireland right after graduation; your job is going well...and you might even be engaged to wonderful Jordan soon! If my 60th year stays like this...I'm all for it!

Didn't quite make "three months"
Once again, I found my blog, and it's 4:43 at the office, my first day back after more than two weeks off. What do I do for a living? Still trying to work that one out. But I do know I'm a writer.
